Cosmos in the Afternoon captures a field of cosmos in the soft, diffused light of an afternoon. Loose, expressive brushwork brings together a lively mix of pink, coral, yellow, orange, lavender, and white blooms, while the muted sky and grasses create a quiet backdrop for the flowers.
The painting balances the spontaneity of a wildflower field with the deliberate placement of individual blooms, creating a sense of movement and abundance across the canvas.
