Lily Pads, Vose Pond 20 × 20 in. Acrylic on canvas
Inspired by the shifting reflections and scattered color of lily pads across the surface of Vose Pond, Lily Pads, Vose Pondexplores the contrast between still water and the lively shapes and colors that float across it.
Painted in acrylic on canvas, the work combines expressive brushwork with graphic shapes and unexpected flashes of color, allowing the surface of the water to become as much a part of the composition as the lily pads themselves.
This is an original one-of-a-kind painting by Emily Mackley.
