Pocomoonshine Sunset was inspired by sunsets over Pocomoonshine Lake, a beloved family vacation spot in Maine.
Pocomoonshine Sunset captures the fleeting color and atmosphere of an evening over the water. Layers of peach, coral, lavender, and blue move across the sky, while deeper blues and gestural brushwork give the water a sense of movement. The darkening horizon and scattered reflections create a contrast between the brilliance of the setting sun and the quiet that follows.
